Directors Cut really cuts it: it's my favourite place in London for off-line editing and post production. The grade is picture perfect, the dub sounds great and they're just lovely people to work with. What's not to like?

Just to say we won the Broadcast Award last night for Best Doc. And also we won an Emmy for Cinematography - thanks in large part to Andy's beautiful grade! Thanks again for all your brilliant work on the film.

I know slightly premature since we are not yet delivered, but I wanted to thank you all for doing such a brilliant job with our TFS various goings on.

From Merryn’s continually ensuring everything runs smoothly, to Andy’s lovely grades, through to all of your tech team, I’m very grateful. And finally, it has been joy to work with both Sam and Thad.

Sam has been such a delight, and has continually made me feel like I’m in safe hands. He’s fab! And then as we all know, Thad is simply officially wonderful. How lucky you are to have him at DC and how privileged I am to work with him.

So, thank you all. For always looking after us, yet always making the process a pleasure too.

Hi guys - I just wanted to say thank you so much for your amazing work on Bauhaus 100. I know it was a really tricky one, and I can’t tell you how happy I am with what you managed to pull off. It looks and sounds incredible...

I’ll drop by next week to say thanks in person, but till then, well done everyone!

I just wanted to tell you what a triumphant evening we had in Philadelphia on Friday at the premiere of the film. It showed in two theatres on Friday night and was sold out in both. We had standing ovations, tears, laughter and grateful thanks for making the film. I was told that the other cinema loved it and stayed to applaud after the credits had rolled. Teddy’s mother, Ida (aged 100) was there, Dr Dan Gottlieb was there, also Teddy’s son, Teddy Jnr, both wives, Karen and Joan. Everyone was amazed by the film and said it told them so much that they didn’t know. The Teddy Bear Orchestra played 4 Teddy numbers after the Q&A and everyone was up and dancing. Lawrence Newton, lead vocals for The Urban Guerrilla Orchestra, sang Teddy’s vocals and was brilliant. We were on the local ABC TV News three times, big spread in the Philadelphia Enquirer and there’s more still to come from other interviews we gave. It looked INCREDIBLE on the big screen and the sound was fabulous.

The UK premier of Teddy Pendergrass: If You Don't Know Me was on Tuesday at NFT1 at the BFI Southbank. It was terrific. Please accept my thanks for all the help, support and guidance you gave me during the edit. I'm incredibly proud of the film, and know this is only possible because of the support of everyone at Directors Cut.
In particular, please extend my thanks to Andy Nicholson, Andy Elliott, Kate Davis, Duncan Burke and David Mason. And also all the runners (past and present).

It's my last day at Director's Cut and I just wanted to drop you a line to say how fantastic the whole team here have been. And Duncan has been endlessly patient, cheerful and helpful throughout all our chaotic post which has been hugely appreciated.
I hope I can work again with everyone again on next project
